ORGANIC Berries for the Picking

WHAT ORGANIC CROPS CAN I PICK?
We have 10 varieties of blueberries and 9 varieties of raspberries, all organically grown with no pesticides or herbicides. Â
Blueberry:Â Duke, Hannah's Choice, Northland, Patriot, Sweetheart, Bluejay, Draper, Pink Lemonade, Elizabeth, and Legacy.
Red Raspberry:Â Boyne, Prelude, Latham, Tula Magic, Encore
Black Raspberry:Â Bristol, Jewel, Mac Black
Purple Raspberry:Â Royalty
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO PICK MY OWN?
Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes as the ground is uneven in places.  A hat is recommended.  In the early morning or at sunset, bug spray applied at home is suggested.  If desired, you may bring your own harvesting bucket or container.
PRODUCTS AVAILABLE AT THE FARM:
In addition to several certified organic raspberry, blueberry and elderberry varieties, Rockywood Farm has organic flowers, organic lavender, organic mint, organic garlic and scapes, as well as seasoned firewood.  Inquire for availability.
DOES THE FARM HAVE HARVESTING BUCKETS?
YES...We have two sizes of buckets for harvesting and provide compostable reusable bags to transport your berries home.
If desired, you may bring your own bucket or container.
HARVESTING TIP...
Raspberries are fragile and transport better in a solid container.  If you have something at home, bring it along. You can either:
1. Harvest directly into your container. No worries about being charged for the weight of your container as we can deduct it...OR
2. Use our bucket and then place your bagged berries into your container for protection during your walk or ride home.
WHAT IF IT IS RAINING?
We will be open for picking if there is light rain.  In cases of heavy rain, we will modify our hours to accomodate our guests' desire for fresh berries.  Please call or text our contact number at 860-961-2231 for up to date information.
CAN I BRING MY DOG ALONG?
We understand that pets are members of the family and we welcome dogs at Rockywood Farm LLC if they are leashed and well behaved.  Owners are asked to clean up any messes their dogs make.  Dogs are not allowed within the fenced pick your own area.
WHAT ARE YOUR ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF PAYMENT?
We accept cash and Venmo is an option for guests who prefer contactless payment.
